Fourth of July Mt. Pleasant Style

This year we decided to head up to Mt. P for the 4th of July. We went with the Sutton family and rented a suite. It was a great time. I think I'd really like to go back to the Soaring Eagle for another 4th of July!

I've never visited the Soaring Eagle in the summer time. They had everything decorated beautifully.

Our room is in this photo. The window is above the tip of that swirly topiary tree thing that's behind Corey. Under the red gazebo is the HOT TUB. Which seeing as it's July, we didn't use too much. That's one disadvantage to going in summer :)

I got a new camera! It takes panoramic shots! Here's one of the pool. It's really small in the blog. Maybe if you click on it it'll be large. Either way they have an awesome pool :)

Here we are trying out the hot tub. I think I was in for about 5 minutes. As you can see Alex wasn't thrilled. He kept saying "hot, hot, hot". Did I mention he's a bright child !!?

Aunt Jodie taught him how to use the drinking fountain. A new toy! He loved it!

Of course all that hot tubbing required an after hot tub beverage....

It'd kinda hard to gamble when you have a toddler. Thankfully Soaring Eagle has KENO in your room! Jodie and I went down and got ourselves a few tickets and followed it from our room. Now all Soaring Eagle needs are the free drinks with Keno like Vegas...

In true gambling style they have an arcade for kids. An arcade with games where you win tickets. Corey and Chad hit the jackpot as you can see!

When we rented the suite I expected a nice bathroom. But this sucker was HUGE. This is the bathtub!

During one of our swim periods we sat outside on the patio. I don't know this person but anybody with that much crack hanging out unknowingly deserves to be posted on my BLOG!

Here are the boys enjoying the sun...

I bought Alex some water wings. He was very excited to swim on his own. I think this picture tells a thousand words!
As you can see he is enjoying it but the look on Bob's face tells another story. Either he got poked by one of Alex's toenails or is worried about him.

Here's the view from our room...

There was a carnival/midway behind the hotel. Also a concert by the Verve Pipe! Here they are checking it out!

My Grandma's BFF Nora still lives in Clare. She visited us while on a trip to the Casino. I haven't seen Nora in at least 2 years. It was so nice to catch up with her. Unfortunately, Alex was sleeping :( We miss you Nora!

The boys cashed in their chips..um I mean tickets and got some cool inflatible boxing gloves. Just what every boy needs!

I don't think this picture needs an explantation..

Group shot!

THe hotel had fireworks. They were AWESOME. I can't post all the pics b/c they really don't capture how good they were. But trust me, if you live near Mt. P I suggest you check them out sometime. They were great! It was an awesome time!
